On November 7th the DuBourg Centre in downtown Ste. Genevieve was the site of glitz and glamour as our 3rd annual Black Tie Gala was decorated for a night of comedy and music. Ryan Dalton and Milly Naeger, two local comedians took the stage along with Jeremy Helwig and provided guests with an evening of laughs, while Gina Otto entertained the guests with a jazz flair on popular hit songs.
“We saw musical entertainment our first year and a sports figure our second, so this year we thought our venue change deserved a focus on local entertainment as well” said Shawn Long, Friends Foundation Director.”
Those attending proved their generosity by bidding on the fantastic silent and oral auction items, which included sports memorabilia, jewelry, themed baskets, and timeshare vacations to name just a few of the unique items. “We did our best to find items that appealed to everyone,” said Long.
New this year, was the Golden Ticket Drawing. Only 100, $20 tickets were sold and the owner of the ticket drawn had their pick of any one of the silent auction items. This added some excitement to the evening, and Rob Walsh’s ticket was drawn!
