•1894 - In New York City, Thomas Edison demonstrated his kinetoscope. A viewer held 50 feet of film , about 13 seconds worth, that showed images of Annie Oakley and Buffalo Bill. •1910 - The Philadelphia Athletics, managed by Connie Mack, played the Washington Senators in a historic game.
