If you have had anesthesia, X-rays, lab tests, or emergency room services during your hospital visit, you will receive separate billings from the following:

Charges received from the physician or professional groups are their fees for administering, interpreting, reading, or reviewing your tests. Charges from the hospital represent use of our equipment, technical personnel, and materials necessary to perform the tests. If you have supplied us with your insurance, we will forward a claim to your carrier for the services that we provided. You may request an itemized statement. SGCMH participates with Medicare and accepts Medicare assignment. You will receive a letter shortly after your insurance has been finalized, advising you of the balance due at that time. 

2. WHAT ARE THE BUSINESS OFFICE HOURS?
The switchboard and registration offices are open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the week and from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Patient accounts office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the week and closed on weekends and holidays. Patient accounts may be called at any time at (573) 883-7718 to leave a voice mail message. 3. HOW DO YOU PAY THE BALANCE OF A BILL?
You may pay your balance by cash, check, money order, or credit cards. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. You may mail your payment, or you can stop by the business office during the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the week and from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. You may also telephone patient accounts at (573) 883-7718 with your credit card payment.

4. IF I GO TO A NON-STAFF DOCTOR, CAN I STILL HAVE MY LAB, X-RAYS AND MAMMOGRAMS DONE AT YOUR HOSPITAL?
Yes, as long as your doctor provides you with a requisition that states the required tests. This requisition should also include the diagnosis and the doctor's name, address, phone number, fax number, and his signature.

5. WHERE CAN I GET A NEW MEDICARE CARD?
You can call the social security administration office. That phone number is 1-800-772-1213. They will assist you in getting a new card.

6. WHO CAN I CALL IF I HAVE A QUESTION OR COMPLAINT ABOUT MY MEDICAID COVERAGE?
The telephone number for Medicaid customer service complaints, help, or information is 1-800-392-2161.
