2018 Rural Health Champion Award - Individual and Team categories

Congratulations to our hospital staff for achieving the 2018 Missouri Rural Health Champion Award for their work, individually and as a team, toward promoting opioid stewardship in our organization and community. Laura Fowler will be recognized for her efforts in the Individual Rural Health Champion Award and, the Opioid Stewardship Committee headed by Dr. Bosner will be awarded the Team Champion Award. Staff Awards

• Rita Brumfield, CNO received MHA's 2015 Nurse Leader Legacy Award for 50 years of dedication to the nursing profession. 

• Thomas Keim, CEO, winner of MHA’s 2014 Visionary Award TheVisionary Leadership Award recognizes innovative service and program initiatives led by a hospital or health system CEO.

• Kevin Enger, MD and Alan P. Lyss, MD have been named to St. Louis Magazine’s 2014 Best Doctor’s List.

• Alan P Lyss, MD has been awarded the prestigious 2014 Marsha Wolff and Tina Borchert Inspiration Award.

• Matthew S. Bosner, MD, FACC, FACP, Director of Cardiology has earned the recognition of Distinguished Master Laureate of the American Board of Cardiology.

Hospital/Departmental Awards

2014 - Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital was recognized by the March of Dimes for reducing the number of elective inductions and cesarean deliveries performed before 39 completed weeks of pregnancy.  

2018 - SGCMH Laboratory Department was recognized by the American Red Cross as one of its Premier Blood Partners, a prestigious honor, for its support of the community and national blood supply.
