Time off and Work-life Balance

Achieving balance means something different for everyone, whether it's going on vacation, meeting people with similar hobbies, or spending time with family and friends.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

This self-managed program combines traditional holidays, vacation and sick time into one account. By an employee’s 2nd year of service an employee may accrue up to 5 weeks of paid time off.

STIPP (Short Term Income Protection Plan)

Employees who are absent due to personal illness may be entitled to time off with pay.  This program allows employees to use sick time from this account before using PTO hours. Employees accrue up to 14 days of STIPP a year.  A doctor's note may be required.


Maternity & Paternity Leave

SGCMH provides you with time off to welcome the birth or adoption of a child.


Long Term Disability Insurance

If you are ill or injured, SGCMH pays for you to receive 50% of your monthly income under our long-term disability benefit. Employees have the option to buy-up additional long term disability benefits.


Funeral Leave

In the event of a death in the family, SGCMH provides paid time off. Also, bereavement pay is allowed for aunt/uncle or great grandparents.


POWER Employee Wellness Program

SGCMH offers incentives and a reduction in medical insurance premiums to help you find the programs, tools and support to make healthy lifestyle choices.


Leisure and Lifestyle Activities

Discounted services are available, including cell phone monthly wireless service charge and data plans, Apple products, and rental cars to name a few.
