Professional Growth and Education

From your first day, learning opportunities and experiences create pathways for individual growth and development.

New Employee Orientation Program

A general orientation program supports your transition into the SGCMH team.

Management and Employee Education

A wide variety of instructor-led and online classes are available to support your educational development. Cultural Diversity training is required on an annual basis and for all new employees. Employees are trained to deliver patient-centered care regardless of religious beliefs, age, gender, LGBT, race, and income level.

Tuition Assistance and Loan Repayment

Tuition assistance and student loan repayment provides up to $12,000 dollars for you to pursue your education.

Clinical Ladder Program

The Professional Advancement Program supports all clinical nurses pursuit of education or certification(s) that will enhance your career and contributions to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. Nurses can select from four levels of personal growth for additional monetary compensation.

Memberships

You are encouraged to attend seminars, webinars and classes that will enhance your professional development. SGCMH encourages membership in associations if there is a benefit to you and SGCMH by increasing your skills.

Succession Program

Performance evaluations were redesigned for employees to include professional and personal goals. You discuss your goals during the evaluation period with your Department Director. Management then communicates with HR and their Leadership representative to begin working towards your goals or interests.
