Good News for Families Who Need Insurance in Missouri

Ste. Genevieve, MO – Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital has good news for families needing health insurance.  Missouri Medicaid Expansion has been reaffirmed by the Missouri Supreme Court and now the state is expanding Medicaid eligibility.  For families all over the state of Missouri, the rules have changed and it is time to apply.

More adults can get low-cost or free health insurance through Missouri Medicaid (called MO HealthNet) and it may be an option for you.  Healthcare you can count on, so you can get back to what you care about.  Get covered for doctor visits, prescription medications, and more. You can even get coverage for dental visits and preventive screenings.

“Now is the time for families to apply to get coverage for healthcare,” stated Nic Wyatt, SGCMH. “And if you need assistance qualifying, the hospital is here to make sure you get the help you need.”

If you have tried to get Medicaid coverage before and did not qualify, check again.  Now more adults qualify including childless and already insured adults. A single adult making up to $1,481 a month, or a family of four making up to $3,048 a month, may qualify for Medicaid through MO HealthNet.  The sooner you sign up, the better off you will be.  If you or a family member received medical services on or after July 1, 2021, MO HealthNet may cover some of those costs. Make sure you include this information in your application.

Enjoy peace of mind knowing you are covered on health insurance.  Enrollment is easy, find free local help to see if you qualify by calling Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital during business hours (8 am – 4:30 pm) at 573-883-7718.
