GFWC Woman’s Club Gives Comfort to Cancer Patients

In a health-related initiative, GFWC Woman’s Club of Ste. Genevieve Recording Secretary, Diane Miller, coordinated a group of clubwomen who filled over 135 "activity" bags for cancer patients in Ste. Genevieve Memorial Hospital's Oncology Department. The bags contained items donated by members, including puzzle books, hand cream, kleenex, hard candy, and assorted small items. Each bag also contained a message of encouragement. The staff of Ste. Genevieve Schools also partnered on the project filling over 30 bags. Diane thanked the volunteers and exclaimed, "This is an amazing project we just did and these bags will bring such joy to people who can really use a little happiness. What a great group we have!"
