Scout builds oncology shed for Eagle project

Jack Staab, a senior at Valle High School, built this shed for the SGCMH oncology garden. Jack, the son of Carrie (SGCMH Respiratory Therapy) and John Staab, undertook the project for his Eagle Scout badge. He estimates it took him about six months from planning to building, and he got a lot of building advice from his grandpa. Sandy Schilli, RN, BSN, OCN and Director of Oncology at SGCMH was thrilled with the shed. “He did such an awesome job!” she said. “I’ve needed some place, besides my office for years, to keep shovels and rakes.”
