SGCMH hosts Healthcare Discovery

SGCMH hosted Ste. Genevieve High School for a day of healthcare discovery. The event introduced students to career opportunities in healthcare.
“It’s nice to bring the students to the hospital so they can see healthcare in action,” said Courtland Hampton, RN, MSN Clinical Educator. “The students are very enthusiastic and we hope that by seeing what our medical professionals do on a daily basis they will be encouraged to pursue a career in healthcare in the future.”
Dr. Noguera spoke to the students. Among other things, he told them that there is a shortage of doctors and nurses, so considering healthcare would be a good career choice.
