Students donate time/school supplies to SGCMH

Valle students weed oncology garden

Students from Valle Catholic High School spent several volunteer hours during their annual Service Day weeding the oncology garden at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.
Sandy Schilli, RN, BSN, OCN and director of oncology said the help was very much appreciated.
“I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the help of these students and Mrs. Meyer in helping to make our garden beautiful for our patients,” said Schilli. “Upkeep of our garden is a huge job, but as the old saying goes, ‘many hands make light work’! Service to one’s community is a wonderful and important life skill allowing students to be active members of this community, and I’m pleased they have chosen us to receive this gift of their time.”
