Wear Red Day

The first Friday in February is National Wear Red Day, an annual event of the American Heart
Association’s Go Red for Women campaign. Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital joined women and men across the country in wearing red to raise awareness about heart disease.
Heart disease is the number one cause of death for women in the U.S. In 2004, the American Heart
Association formed the Go Red for Women campaign to educate women about the risks and facts
surrounding heart disease and stroke.
