COVID-19 and Flu Policies
Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is committed to being a leader in public health issues. As a leading health organization, we have an opportunity to be a role model in our community and encourage wellness through all levels of our organization.
COVID 19: In compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Omnibus COVID-19 Health Care Staff Vaccination Interim Final Rule, all colleagues, volunteers, students, contract personnel and non-employed practitioners providing services for, at or on behalf of Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital and/or its subsidiaries must be vaccinated against COVID-19, or have an approved medical or religious exemption in place. Staff granted an exemption from this policy will be required to wear a surgical mask at all times, other than when eating/drinking in an approved location, and practice social distancing pursuant to CDC recommendations, while on Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital property.
Influenza (Flu): At SGCMH we have the sacred privilege of caring for patients every day. To help keep our patients and employees healthy, employees are highly encouraged to receive a flu shot each year. Employees who decline to receive this important immunization must complete a declination statement and wear a hospital-supplied (surgical) mask over the mouth and nose when at work during the influenza season. We believe this immunization is crucial to providing the safest patient care.
