Ste. Genevieve Hospital Emergency Department is a Level III Stroke Center and a Level IV STEMI Center with 24-hour access to stroke neuro-specialists and state of the art technology for consultative and diagnostic services.

Services such as orthopedics, cardiology, neurology, psychiatric and pediatric telehealth services are available to patients through consulting specialists.

Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital (SGCMH) is pleased to announce it now offers Pediatric Telehealth Services in partnership with SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.  With more and more hospitals currently using telehealth, SGCMH and Cardinal Glennon decided to bring the expertise of the SLUCare Physician Group of neonatologists and pediatric emergency physicians to Ste. Genevieve County by using enhanced video and audio technology.

TeleED

The TeleED program uses enhanced video and audio technology.  Pediatric patients are able to receive immediate, real-time, remote consultation and evaluations without a transfer to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.

Benefit of Telehealth for Patients and Their Families

While patients may have to travel to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon for additional care, initial diagnosis and treatment can be provided to a patient in their community, close to home. In some cases, telemedicine will prevent a family from having to travel to St. Louis for a pediatric consultation.
